Chequered Flag Training Network already have four Accredited Drivers CPC (DCPC) Periodic Training courses. A further four are with JAUPT for accreditation, whilst two more are being developed. This is in addition to over TEN courses in the consideration stage.

We are not only registering "industry standard" courses such as LGV Drivers Hours, but we are also developing "sector specific" and "client specific" courses. Examples of "sector specific" courses are Safe Loading for Low Loader Operations, Safe Operating of Pressure/Vacuum Tankers and The School Run. The "client specific" courses are relevent to an operators own requirements i.e. courses for local councils, cash-in-transit and high security transport companies where company policy is integrated into a relevent course structure.

ALL of our courses combine classroom based theory with external practical sessions. We understand that drivers will find it difficult to retain their interest for the required seven hours of training. And we have to consider our instructors. You may have to do the course once, but we have to deliver it many times, so it is important to us to keep instructors "fresh" and capable of delivering an interesting and enjoyable course. We promise that no course will become "death by PowerPoint".

Some of our forthcoming courses will be eligable for both Periodic Training (DCPC) and a nationally recognised award. Whilst the terms of DCPC strictly forbid Testing & Examination as part of the DCPC training, it does not prohibit the relevent awarding bodies Tests & Examinations being taken on the same day outside the JAUPT approved timetable. For this reason, these courses will always be conducted to the necessary standards of the awarding bodies.
