Category C - Large Goods Vehicle
Category C is the old HGV Class 2 licence. It covers
any RIGID goods vehicle from 7.5 tonnes to 32 tonnes MAM.
You may be required to pass a medical examination, a multiple choice Theory
Test, a video based Hazard Perception Test and a multiple choice Case Study
before being able to undertake practical driving tuition.

Flag Theory Preparation courses.
Practical tuition now consists of two tests, your driving test and a further
test on vehicle inspection, loading and security.
You need to be minimum of 18 years old, but you will NOT have to pass
Category C1 before training for Category
C.
Due to the complexities of the Driver Licensing Regulations, some drivers
may not be required to undertake the theory (Case Study) and practical
(vehicle inspection,etc) tests.
