Category B+E is for drivers who have passed their basic driving test and
who now wish to tow a trailer in excess of 750kg MAM.
There is no requirement to complete a medical or additional theory tests
before undertaking Category B+E training.
The Practical test is the same as for a full articulated lorry which includes
a reversing exercise, a controlled stop and general driving.
The Chequered Flag Training Network can provide instructors for this level
of driving tuition.
In most cases the candidate will be expected to provide an appropriate
vehicle and trailer for both the tuition and test.
Due to the complexity of the Regulations, we strongly
advise that you consult either the DVLA or your local trainer to ensure
the vehicle and trailer are suitable.
